Quality Engineer WSF

Job description

The Quality Engineer is responsible for the coordination of quality related actions towards internal and external departments (Purchasing, R&D, Complaints, Production, Sales & Marketing). Since you would be involved in quality improvement projects as a team member and a team leader (as a Supervisor of the Quality Technician), you must possess strong organizational skills and be a great team-player.

Tasks and responsibilities:


  • Production support: Coordination and advising rework possibilities of rejected products, quality advice, quality follow up and discussion;
  • Coordinate actions in case of new products/suppliers regarding requested analysis, certificates and specifications in cooperation with purchasing department, R&D and QA Heerlen;
  • Coordination of vendor complaints and customer complaints;
  • Identify root causes for Quality issues and define corrective and preventive actions;
  • Coordination of registration sample requests and certificates of analysis;
  • Quality related tasks for New product requests (NNPR/NPR). Recipe checks and specifications;
  • Coordination and reporting of trial management;
  • Project Leader/member for quality and process improvements and R&D projects;
  • Implementation and maintenance of applicable standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, RHP and SNI);
  • Member of the internal ISO auditing team;
  • Participation in operational meetings, representing Grobbendonk Quality.



Your profile:

  • Min 3-4 years of experience in chemical production environment management is required;
  • Completed B.Sc. level or higher, preferable in Process Technology;
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office – Data warehousing - /ERP systems);
  • Result-, solution- and success driven personality;
  • Structured with hands on mentality;
  • Helicopter view and analytical thinking;
  • Project/Process/Improvement management e.g. Green belt Lean Six Sigma is preferred.



Languages: Excellent social and communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
